📈 Previously, since December 2024, trust in the head of state had been steadily increasing, reaching 74% in early May 2025 (22% did not trust him).
📉 However, in the second half of May to early June 2025, a decline in trust was recorded. Nevertheless, current figures remain higher than the level of trust before the deterioration of relations with the new US administration.
🔎 According to the survey, 65% of Ukrainians trust Zelensky, 30% do not, and the trust-distrust balance is +35%. For comparison: it was +52% in early May and +20% in early February.
❓ KMIS sociologists note that there are currently no specific reasons for the decline in trust; panel studies tracking changes in opinions of the same respondents are needed.
⚠️ Possible factors include:
- weakening of the rally-around-the-flag effect after February 2025;
- a temporary surge of optimism due to the signing of the Raw Materials Agreement in early May;
- inflated expectations of a quick end to the war;
- the influence of the order in which politicians are presented in the survey, which may affect trust levels.
📅 The survey was conducted from May 15 to June 3, 2025, among 1,011 respondents.
📏 The statistical margin of error does not exceed 4.1% for indicators around 50%, 3.5% for 25%, 2.5% for 10%, and 1.8% for 5%.
