It is reported that on February 10, the “Ferroalloy-1” power transmission line went out of service. Military activity in the area of the facility is cited as the likely cause.

Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, which has six power units, is now receiving electricity only through one backup line — the “Dniprovska” line.

The plant is not generating electricity, but it requires constant power supply to cool nuclear fuel and prevent emergency situations.

It is also reported that the work of the international mission is being obstructed. Inspectors who are permanently stationed at the ZNPP were not allowed access to the distribution substation to determine the circumstances of the damage, citing security considerations.
