The Ukrainian authorities need to reconsider their approaches to mobilization, increase the financial support for servicemen, and motivate citizens to serve, said Russian-Ukrainian war veteran Oleg Symoroz on the Espreso broadcast.

According to him, the mobilization situation can still be regulated without drastic measures. The veteran emphasized the importance of a rational approach and recognizing the root causes of problems, including the societal demand for justice.
“If strict bans on military service exemptions are announced and mobilization is intensified, it will not help. The authorities still do not recognize that the mobilization policy is unfair,” Symoroz stated.
He paid particular attention to economic exemptions, which, in his opinion, appear as an anti-state approach. The veteran stressed the need to restore respect for the military, fairness in mobilization processes, and increased motivation to serve.
“It is necessary to stop filling gaps with infantry and Territorial Defense forces. Increasing financial support and a fair approach to mobilization are key to restoring trust,” Symoroz concluded.
