⚕️ Наказ Міноборони, за яким працюють ВЛК, потребує негайних змін через суттєві вади, — депутатка Фріз

Order of the Ministry of Defense No. 402, which regulates the work of military medical commissions (VLC), has significant shortcomings and requires urgent updating. This was stated in an interview with Hromadske Radio by MP Iryna Friz, a member of the parliamentary committee on national security, defense, and intelligence.

According to her, as early as March, the Minister of Defense presented a concept for changes in the work of VLCs, but the process has not moved beyond discussions. As of early May, no legislative initiatives regarding the reform of the system have been registered in the Ministry of Defense.

Friz emphasized that changes must be made directly to Order No. 402, as VLCs are currently operating under it.

She noted that the current system does not always take into account a combination of illnesses during medical examinations, which may affect the objectivity of commission decisions.

“Obviously, the way VLCs operate under this order has significant flaws,” the MP said.

She also stressed that the quality of VLC work directly affects the effectiveness of mobilization, which should take into account not only the number of conscripts but also their health condition.

According to her, when people with serious illnesses are drafted into service, it can create additional risks both for them and for other service members on the front line.
