In Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers has instructed the Ministry of Health and the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection to continuously monitor prices for a designated list of medicines and to report to the government on a weekly basis.

Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko emphasized that in conditions of war, frost, and strikes on the energy system, the need for medicines increases sharply, so medications must remain accessible to all Ukrainians.
The control will cover a specially defined list of drugs. The State Service of Ukraine on Medicines will also be involved in the monitoring. If unjustified markups or violations of pricing rules are identified, pharmacies will be fined.
The government stresses that this is not about manual price regulation, but about preventing speculation during a critical period for the country.
