🚗 New technical inspection rules
From July, new regulations for vehicle technical inspections come into effect. Inspection stations must now have at least two video cameras installed to record the entire process. This measure aims to reduce the number of falsified inspection certificates.
🧾 IDP (internally displaced persons) status verification
As of July 1, new verification procedures for IDPs will be introduced. If a person is outside Ukraine for more than 90 calendar days, their IDP status will be revoked.
Exceptions include business trips, child rehabilitation, internships, medical treatment, or caregiving—if supported by documents. Situations like a family member’s death or presence in hospitals, courts, or law enforcement institutions are also excluded from the count.
💸 New basic social assistance program
An experimental program will be launched to provide basic social support to low-income families.
Eligible groups:
- Low-income families
- Single mothers
- Children from large families
- Children whose parents evade alimony payments, cannot provide support, or whose whereabouts are unknown
🔌 Voltage standard update
Ukraine will shift from the standard 220 volts to 230 volts, aligning with European energy systems.
This change won’t affect electricity tariffs, and most household appliances are already compatible with the new standard.
👵 Pension supplements
Seniors turning 70, 75, or 80 in July will receive monthly bonuses:
- Age 70: up to 300 UAH
- Age 75: up to 456 UAH
- Age 80: up to 570 UAH
Note: Available only to pensioners whose monthly payments do not exceed 10,340.35 UAH.
🚫 No changes to traffic violation fines
Despite online rumors, the police confirm that no new fines or amendments to administrative responsibility for traffic or public order violations have been adopted.
