🎶 The “Kvartal 95” studio has found itself at the center of a new scandal — the band ZWYNTAR accused it of illegally using the song “Mexican” during a concert on May 10, 2025.

📹 A performance featuring a fragment of the song is available on the studio’s YouTube channel. According to the band, despite an official ban on using the music, the studio still included it in their act.
📩 ZWYNTAR published screenshots of correspondence, where back on April 11 they categorically refused to collaborate due to “aesthetic and conceptual incompatibility” with the Kvartal projects.
⚖️ In response to the claims, the studio referred to Article 21 of the Law “On Copyright and Related Rights,” stating that the use of the song allegedly falls under the concept of parody. However, the musicians disagree, noting that the performance lacked any satire or comedy regarding the content of their song.
💬 “This is a blow to our reputation. We don’t want to be associated with the political context or the creativity of the Kvartal 95 Studio,” said ZWYNTAR, adding that they consider this situation a gross violation of ethics and have filed a pretrial complaint.
