This was reported by Yurii Rud, head of the department for combating crimes committed in the context of armed conflict at the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to him, cases of intentional killings have been recorded within 116 criminal proceedings.
“In total, at this time, facts of the killing of 306 Ukrainian servicemen have been documented. These cases are being investigated in 116 criminal proceedings,” Rud stated during the international conference “United for Justice. Accountability for Crimes Against the Civilian Population.”
The Prosecutor General’s Office clarifies that this refers to soldiers who were no longer actively resisting — including those who were wounded or had laid down their weapons. Despite protections guaranteed under the Geneva Conventions, they were killed by Russian forces on the battlefield.
Earlier, cases of the execution of Ukrainian prisoners of war have also been reported, including incidents documented on video.
