⚖️ The session of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv in the so-called “coal case” was postponed once again. The fifth president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, who is accused of alleged state treason, said the case “predictably turned out to be an empty farce.”

The leader of the “European Solidarity” party emphasizes that while all resources should be directed toward strengthening the country’s defense capability and relations with its strategic partner — Washington — law enforcement continues to pressure the opposition, anti-corruption activists, and the media.
“This is surreal. At a time when the country should be focusing on supporting the Armed Forces, aiding the front, producing weapons, developing the defense industry, and strengthening parliamentary diplomacy — when relations with our strategic partner are damaged — the authorities are playing around with trying to organize a show,” he told journalists.
Poroshenko emphasizes that the government’s scenario has failed.
“What does it consist of? The authorities have been trying to prosecute me for seven years. All more or less experienced lawyers predicted: the case in court will completely collapse. The case is not just falling apart — it doesn’t exist. And there is nothing to talk about. That’s why court sessions last five minutes. Prosecutors avoid eye contact not because their conscience is bothering them, but out of fear,” the fifth president noted.
According to him, prosecutors “will face the fate they deserve when they imprisoned generals, officers, brigade commanders, and battalion commanders.”
“When they abandoned, including this case, on February 23, 2022, fleeing with all their weapons, equipment, body armor, and automatic rifles to Mukachevo and Lviv, we stayed. General Pavlovskyi remained — they imprisoned him for half a year, and I paid his bail. General Marchenko remained — they imprisoned him for half a year, and I paid his bail. Colonel Chervinsky remained, fighting the enemy across the Irpin River, in Bucha, Irpin, Hostomel, and Vorzel — but they later imprisoned him. The leaders of the defense industry remained, including Mr. Shandra. Many others remained,” Poroshenko said.
“All this ‘military’ works on the side of the enemy, attacking NABU detectives, attacking civil activists, attacking opposition politicians, attacking journalists to turn our country into Putin’s Russia. They are worse than enemies — they are traitors,” the leader of “European Solidarity” believes.
In conclusion, the politician said he is confident in victory.
“They won’t succeed in anything. Everything will be fine. We will win. We are calm and confident. Our entire team and the majority of our people,” Poroshenko summarized.
