The vote is currently taking place in the “Kyiv Digital” app.
“In the very center of Kyiv, the pages of modern Ukrainian history were written — from the Orange Revolution to the Revolution of Dignity. It was shaped by the courage and bravery of the Ukrainian people. It was here that bloody clashes unfolded between the ‘Berkut’ and protesters, and here the fate of the country was decided,” the fifth president wrote on social media.
“Among the thousands of people on Maidan was our Andriy Parubiy. A person who stood shoulder to shoulder with protesters at the most critical moments — during assaults and attempts to forcibly clear the main square of the country. Coordinator and creator of the Maidan Self-Defense. Commandant of Maidan,” wrote the leader of “European Solidarity.”
“In the center of Kyiv is also the building of the Verkhovna Rada — the place where key decisions in the history of the Ukrainian state were made. It was within these walls that Andriy Parubiy, already as Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, fought for our Language, Army, and Faith,” Poroshenko reminded.
“The ‘European Solidarity’ team in Kyiv initiated naming a street in the very heart of the capital after Hero of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy. It concerns the street at the intersection of Mykhailo Hrushevskyi Street and Parkova Road, which currently has no name. Near the Verkhovna Rada, Mariinsky Park, and Independence Square… This place is significant both for our team and for Andriy himself — a large part of his journey is connected to it,” Poroshenko wrote.
“Right now, a survey is ongoing in the ‘Kyiv Digital’ app, and the results will determine the future of this street. I urge everyone to support this decision via the link: https://kd.kmda.gov.ua/l/QoZLI2tRyC Because for us, it matters which streets, boulevards, and avenues we walk every day,” emphasized Petro Poroshenko.
