The Mayor of Dnipro, Borys Filatov, stated that comparing Dnipro with Kharkiv is not entirely correct due to significant differences in the cities’ financial capacities.

According to him, the budgets and the amount of aid received by the cities differ significantly, making a direct comparison of figures impossible. Filatov recalled that Dnipro has also allocated funds and subsidies, including to the “Khartiya” brigade.
Additionally, the mayor noted that Kharkiv has debts for heating (over 15 billion UAH), water (over 3 billion UAH), and electricity (about 2 billion UAH), totaling approximately 20 billion UAH. Dnipro does not have such debts, and if the city received similar preferences, it could provide much more assistance. Filatov emphasized that any free services are funded from taxpayers’ money.
