In February 2026, certain categories of men may lose the right to deferment from mobilization due to the expiration of documents or the loss of legal grounds.

Deferment is canceled after the completion of studies — students lose it immediately after graduating. The right to deferment may also disappear due to changes in family circumstances: for parents of multiple children, it applies only until the children turn 18 (provided there is no disability of group I or II).
Parents with unpaid child support or those who obtained deferment to care for relatives may also lose it if the reason for care no longer exists. In case of changes, the conscript is obliged to independently notify the Territorial Recruitment Center about the loss of the right to deferment.
From February 1, the rules for employee reservations at enterprises will also change. Previously, the procedure could be completed within 24 hours, but now the standard review period will be 72 hours. An employee can only be reserved if he is registered for military service, officially works in a government agency or at a critically important enterprise, has updated personal data on time, and is not wanted by authorities.
