On October 20, 2025, at the age of 56, Andrii “Dizel” Yatsenko, the founder and frontman of the legendary Ukrainian band Green Grey, passed away. The cause of death was heart failure caused by ischemic heart disease. The musician’s heart stopped at nine in the morning.

The musician is remembered as a symbol of an era and the energy of an entire generation that grew up with his music.
Farewell to Andrii Yatsenko
The farewell ceremony will take place on October 23 at the House of Cinema of the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine (6 Saksahanskoho Street, Kyiv).
🕘 Beginning at 9:00 a.m., ending at 11:30 a.m.
The first to report his death was producer and founder of the band “Vkhid u Zminnomu Vzutti” (VUZV), Oleksandr Styohanov (Steganoff). Shortly afterward, members of Green Grey confirmed the sad news, changing their profile covers to an image with a candle.
A black mourning ribbon also appeared on Andrii’s personal Facebook page.
