⚡️ Attack on Chornobyl NPP
Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the Russian attack on the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, during which a drone struck the sarcophagus covering the destroyed fourth reactor. The president stated that it was a modified Shahed drone, and its warhead contained 50 kg of explosives. Zelenskyy called this strike a deeply symbolic move by Russia.
🌍 NATO Membership
The President of Ukraine declared that the issue of Ukraine’s NATO membership would not be removed from the negotiating table. He emphasized that security guarantees would be weak without America and pointed out that Vladimir Putin currently has the greatest influence over NATO, as his demands are blocking key decisions. Zelenskyy added that the Ukrainian army stopped Russia without NATO’s assistance.
🛡️ Creation of the European Armed Forces
Zelenskyy also called for the creation of a unified European Armed Forces to counter Russian aggression. He stated that Europe must become a self-sufficient and united force to ensure security on the continent.
🤝 Meeting with Trump
The President of Ukraine expressed concern that Donald Trump’s first meeting should take place with the Ukrainian side rather than with Putin. He stressed that European leaders should also be present at the negotiating table, as he envisions Ukraine’s future solely within the European Union.
