💬 She made this statement during the latest meeting of the OSCE Security Cooperation Forum in Vienna.
🌍 Kostenko emphasized that Ukraine welcomes progress in the negotiations in Saudi Arabia, particularly on issues such as a ceasefire in the energy sector and restoring security in the Black Sea. However, she pointed out that if russia fails to fulfill its commitments, new sanctions must be imposed, and pressure must be increased.
🔒 “Diplomacy must prevail, but for Ukraine, there is no trust in russia,” Kostenko said, adding that russia must be forced to abide by agreements through international pressure.
💡 Kostenko also highlighted russia’s manipulative tactics regarding the US proposal for a 30-day comprehensive ceasefire. Ukraine fully supported the initiative and expressed readiness to monitor the ceasefire, while russia attempts to undermine peace efforts.
🛑 “Now, more than ever, it is necessary to maintain diplomatic and sanctions pressure to force russia to abandon its expansionist ambitions and adhere to international law,” Kostenko concluded.
