📍 According to the Pentagon’s press service, the test was conducted at the Cape Canaveral base in Florida.
💨 Vice Admiral Johnny Wolfe Jr., head of the Navy’s Strategic Systems Programs, stated that the cold gas launch allows the missile to be ejected from a ship-based platform and reach a safe altitude before the first stage activates.
🔧 He emphasized that this technological achievement brings the U.S. Navy closer to the goal of acquiring reliable hypersonic capabilities.
🛡️ U.S. Navy Chief John Falan noted that hypersonic weapons—with their speed, range, and resilience—are critically important for global deterrence. The introduction of the missile under the Conventional Prompt Strike program will significantly enhance the combat readiness of U.S. forces.
⚔️ The Pentagon stressed that the development of hypersonic strike systems significantly increases the United States’ ability to effectively deter and, if necessary, defeat strategic adversaries.
