📢 From the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24 to March 31, 2022, 381 people were killed in the city of Bucha. The total number of deaths in the Bucha community has reached 554.
📌 This was reported by the BBC, citing data from the archive department of the Bucha City Council. Among the dead were 12 children aged 1.7 to 15 years.
🔫 People died from occupiers’ bullets, lack of medicine, and hunger. Due to hostilities in the community, 396 people were killed, while 158 died from illnesses and lack of medical care. Additionally, 28 residents died in neighboring towns.
📊 According to official data as of March 22, 2025, the losses are as follows:
- City of Bucha – 381 dead;
- Bucha territorial community – 554 dead;
- Bucha district – around 1,200 dead, and this number may increase.
❗ Currently, 43 bodies remain unidentified, while 38 civilians are considered missing. 33 residents are in russian captivity, and one person has died in detention.
⚖️ Ukrainian law enforcement continues to investigate war crimes committed by russian occupiers in the Bucha community.
👤 Yuriy Bielousov, head of the war crimes counteraction department of the Prosecutor General’s Office, reported that 28 russian military personnel have been officially charged with murders and cruel treatment of civilians.
🪖 The suspects are primarily soldiers of the 234th Air Assault Regiment of the 76th Division from Pskov, as well as servicemen from other units of the russian army and the russian national guard.
