The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has halted aid to Ukraine following the suspension of funding from USAID, leaving 57,000 people without necessary support. If funding is not restored, humanitarian programs may stop by the end of February, leading to catastrophic consequences.

🚨 As a result, the distribution of emergency aid in frontline communities in Ukraine has been stopped, and people are left without essential items such as food and heating supplies, which are critical during the winter.
🌍 A similar situation has arisen in other countries where NRC operates, including Burkina Faso, Sudan, and Afghanistan.
🔴 In 2024, NRC assisted 1.6 million people through U.S. funding, which accounted for nearly 20% of the organization’s budget. If the situation does not change, humanitarian programs may completely cease by the end of February.
💬 “To avoid catastrophic consequences, the U.S. must immediately restore funding for humanitarian programs,” said NRC.
