🛠️ The main goal of FMBTech is to create a flexible platform that can quickly adapt to changes on the battlefield. Special attention is given to modular technologies that will enhance survivability, combat capabilities, and communication systems in modern conflict environments.
💶 With a budget of €19 million, the project aims to address the issue of outdated armored vehicle fleets in Europe. KNDS, the developer of the Leopard 2 A8 and Leclerc XLR tanks, is actively working on new technologies, including unmanned turrets and artificial intelligence-based systems.
⚙️ Innovations in the project are bringing the development of fully digital tanks closer, which will be able to autonomously respond to threats. An important milestone will be the demonstration of the EMBT ADT 140 with the latest 140mm ASCALON gun, scheduled for 2025.
🌍 The FMBTech project is a crucial step towards enhancing Europe’s defense capabilities, strengthening technological independence, and providing an effective response to modern geopolitical challenges.
