🇷🇺 The court emphasized that the events in Odesa were largely caused by Russian propaganda, but also noted violations by the Ukrainian state, which must pay compensation to the victims.
👨👩👧👦 Relatives of the 25 deceased and three survivors of the fire in the Trade Union House filed claims with the ECHR. They accused Ukraine of inaction, which, in their view, could have prevented the tragedy.
💔 The court also stated that Ukraine does not escape responsibility, even if Russia is the main perpetrator of the events.
💰 The ECHR ordered Ukraine to pay compensation of 15,000 euros to the relatives of the deceased and 12,000 euros to the three survivors who suffered serious burns.
🔥 Remember, on May 2, 2014, 48 people died and more than 200 were injured during the unrest in Odesa, most of them during the fire in the Trade Union House.
