📢 “I believe this is not a question for the Verkhovna Rada. The Verkhovna Rada has its own functions; this is a matter for law enforcement agencies. My position has always been clear – anyone who commits an offense must face legal punishment, but only based on a court decision that has entered into force,” Stefanchuk stated.
⚖️ He emphasized his opposition to any schemes circumventing the law while acknowledging that abuses in this area are possible.
🔎 “Yesterday’s decisions regarding ‘Shlyakh’ are a certain response to what is happening in the country. Some people defend the state, while others believe that by illegally paying a certain amount, they can leave,” the speaker added.
📌 Reminder: Earlier, Solomiia Bobrovska, a member of the parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, reported the existence of a scheme for leaving the country through MPs’ drivers.
🚗 “For MPs, it was a story about their drivers. I first learned that we could have drivers who could travel abroad with us. Great, now I’ll know. As it turned out, my colleagues were transporting dozens of these people,” Bobrovska said.
❌ According to her, after crossing the border, men of conscription age did not return to Ukraine. However, the MP did not disclose the names of those involved in this scheme.
