Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and current Ukrainian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, admitted during an online speech at the NV event “Ukraine Changes the World. Dialogues on Opportunities” that he had miscalculated Russia’s army losses.

📌 He recalled that he had previously considered 100,000 killed Russians a possible threshold after which Russia would abandon the war. However, it is now evident that for the Kremlin, human resources are “one of the cheapest” assets, and Moscow is willing to achieve its goals while disregarding the lives of its soldiers.
⚔️ “Maximizing enemy losses remains relevant, but it is certainly not the key to achieving victory,” Zaluzhnyi emphasized.
