📌 According to him, this applies both to the possible membership of Ukraine in NATO and to any territorial concessions.
Commenting on Donald Trump’s phone conversation with Vladimir Putin, Pistorius stressed that Europe must take an active role in such discussions, especially if the U.S. expects it to play a peacekeeping role in future agreements.
💬 “If the Kremlin is truly interested in negotiations, it must be accompanied by real actions, including halting attacks on Ukraine,” he said.
🔺 The minister also warned that a quick peace agreement does not mean solving all security challenges in the region. He emphasized that Europe cannot afford to “sit idly by” as Putin remains a threat and continues to provoke Europe.
