🌍 Large-scale Russian attacks on Ukraine, particularly on civilian targets, even when ceasefire negotiations are underway, do not confirm the Kremlin’s serious intentions to conclude a truce. This was stated on Friday in Kyiv by the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel.

🇺🇦 Pavel noted that on Thursday he visited Odesa, where Russia launched one of its largest drone attacks in the evening. Preliminary data indicates that this was the biggest attack on the city, using a new aerial strike tactic.
💬 The President of the Czech Republic added that to change Russia’s approach to peace talks, it is likely necessary to increase pressure on Moscow. “It does not seem that Russia is intending to conclude any ceasefire. Clearly, pressure needs to be applied, as US President Donald Trump has mentioned, and it needs to be significant enough for Russia,” Pavel stated.
🏥 On Friday, the Czech leader visited the Kyiv hospital “Okhmatdyt,” which was struck by Russia in July last year. Pavel emphasized that Russia is ignoring international law and is effectively committing war crimes by attacking not only medical institutions but also ambulances.
⚖️ “This is a vivid example of barbarism, as such cases are being documented and sent to The Hague,” the Czech president added. He also stressed the importance of providing assistance to those who need it most – people receiving treatment in hospitals.
