🔢 According to the Ukrainian Pension Fund (PFU), the pension recalculation is done in accordance with the law “On Mandatory State Pension Insurance.” This applies to individuals who, by March 1, 2025, have accumulated at least 24 months of insurance experience since their previous recalculation or pension assignment.
📝 If pensioners have accumulated less than 24 months of insurance experience after their previous recalculation by March 1, 2025, the recalculation will only take place after two years, considering the accrued experience.
💼 The recalculation will include new work experience and, if necessary, a new salary for working pensioners. This will allow for an increase in pension amounts.
📊 Currently, there are 10.8 million contributors to the Pension Fund of Ukraine (39% of the economically active population), and the number of pensioners is 10.26 million. The average salary from which contributions are made is 15,433 UAH, but this is insufficient to provide pensions at an average level.
💵 The unified social contribution is 22% of the salary, but even with the use of all these funds for pensions, the average pension will only be about 3,500 UAH.
