🇺🇦 Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov participated in the Nordic-Baltic 8 meeting, where defense ministers from Norway, Iceland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania presented new initiatives to support Ukraine.

📢 Following the meeting, the participating countries reaffirmed their strategic commitments:
🇸🇪 Sweden is preparing a new major military aid package, including enhanced air defense support for Ukraine. Deliveries are planned for this year.
🇳🇴 Norway is allocating €7.8 billion in 2025, one of the largest aid budgets for Ukraine. The funds will be directed toward strengthening naval capabilities, air defense, and military training within the “Nordic-Baltic Brigade.” Investments in Ukraine’s defense industry are also planned.
🇱🇹 Lithuania is focusing on strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, investing in the defense industry, and supporting the “Czech Initiative,” with priority given to artillery shell supplies.
🇱🇻 Latvia is prioritizing equipping Ukrainian forces, supplying ammunition, and expanding defense industry cooperation.
🇮🇸 Iceland is investing in Ukraine’s military industry under the “Danish model” and supporting the training of the “Nordic-Baltic Brigade.”
🇫🇮 Finland is working on supplying artillery shells and preparing a new military aid package.
🇪🇪 Estonia continues to support Ukrainian forces with new ammunition supplies and participation in training the “Nordic-Baltic Brigade.”
🇩🇰 Denmark is considering additional investments in Ukraine’s military sector.
🤝 “The Nordic and Baltic countries remain among our most committed allies. They are not only increasing military aid but also actively supporting the development of our defense industry,” emphasized Rustem Umerov.
🛡️ The Ukrainian Defense Minister thanked the partners for their determination and support, stressing that further strengthening of security cooperation is crucial for the stability of the entire European continent.
