🇺🇦 Zaluzhnyi explained what Ukraine’s victory in the war should look like

🇺🇦 Залужний пояснив, якою має бути перемога України у війні

The first “indicator” of victory in the war for Ukrainians will be a feeling of absolute security and confidence that hostilities will not resume in the coming years. Victory must also ensure conditions for the country’s development, including economic growth.

This was stated by former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and currently Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom Valerii Zaluzhnyi during a meeting with students of the Kyiv School of Public Administration.

According to him, Ukraine’s victory is based on three key components.

The first is full security — not only today, but also in the long term, so that future generations are not forced to fight.

The second element is the ability for the country and its citizens to develop. Zaluzhnyi emphasized that Ukraine must gain the resources for recovery and economic growth after the war.

The third important aspect he named is the restoration of territorial integrity and justice. In this context, he stressed that the issue of occupied territories cannot be definitively closed without their return.

To illustrate his position, Zaluzhnyi used a metaphor about a house and a neighboring aggressor, emphasizing that future generations must strive to restore justice.

In his view, Ukraine’s true victory is a combination of security, economic opportunity, and the restoration of territorial integrity.
