🛡️ The leader of “European Solidarity” and fifth president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, stated that the U.S. strike on Iran benefits Ukraine, as Tehran — alongside North Korea and belarus — supports russia in its war against Ukraine.

📺 Speaking on the “Politclub” program with Vitaliy Portnikov, Poroshenko noted that a significant portion of Ukraine’s losses is due to Iranian drones and missiles. “Destroying the Shahed production plants and nuclear weapons development centers benefits both Ukraine and the world,” he emphasized.
🗣️ According to him, only the language of force works with dictators. This, he believes, is the exact strategy to be used against putin.
🕰️ The politician proposed giving the kremlin a clear deadline to respond to a ceasefire proposal. If refused — as in the case of Iran — three key steps should be taken.
🔫 First, radically increase weapons supplies, especially by launching the Lend-Lease program: “It’s access to Pentagon stockpiles without direct U.S. budget expenditures.”
💰 Second, decisive sanctions must come from Washington. “Without the U.S., sanctions like the oil price cap don’t work. That’s why the EU’s 18th sanctions package was postponed.”
💸 Third, it’s about funding and strengthening security guarantees. “When putin hears the language of force — that’s the chance to stop the war,” Poroshenko stressed.
🏛️ He also highlighted the importance of working with the U.S. Congress to explain that ending the war is in America’s own interest.
🏗️ Among the priority steps to strengthen defense, Poroshenko named launching a fortification program and directing military personnel’s income tax (PDFO) directly to the needs of their brigades.
🛢️ He also criticized the transit of 300,000 barrels of russian oil through the “Druzhba” pipeline amid rising prices following the Israeli-Iranian conflict. According to him, this could earn russia over $8 billion for its defense sector.
