📉 In Ukraine, the minimum wage in 2025 remained at 8000 UAH, the same as the previous year. This is the lowest rate in Europe both in nominal terms and in relation to the average salary

🇵🇱 For comparison, in Poland the minimum wage was raised to 4666 zlotys (over 1040 euros), while in Ukraine it is only 171.26 euros (as of April 16 exchange rate)
📊 In the EU, the minimum wage ranges from 551 euros in Bulgaria to 2,638 euros in Luxembourg. In most countries, it is no less than 1500 euros
⚖️ The ratio of the minimum to the average salary in Ukraine is only 35%, whereas in EU countries it ranges from 43% to 66%. This means the Ukrainian minimum wage does not even provide a basic subsistence level (around 10,000 UAH)
🏃♂️ Due to low wages, active migration continues. Over 4.3 million Ukrainians are in Europe, which causes a personnel shortage in Ukraine itself
🔧 The biggest shortage of personnel is in working professions, logistics, and medicine. There is a critical lack of drivers, seamstresses, turners, electricians, and doctors
📉 According to experts, to restore the economy after the war, Ukraine needs 4–4.5 million workers. Without raising wages, it is impossible to compete with the labor markets of neighboring countries
🧾 Prime Minister Shmyhal explained the freeze on the minimum wage by the lack of funds in the budget. The government believes the increase in 2024 was sufficient, although inflation over two years may reach up to 15%, meaning the minimum wage should have been raised to at least 9168 UAH
