⚖️ Law enforcement officers have filed charges against four servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces for committing war crimes in Bucha, Kyiv region. Additionally, indictments against four more occupiers have been sent to court.

👮♂️ Police established that during the occupation of Kyiv region in March 2022, four servicemen of the 234th Airborne Assault Regiment of the 76th Airborne Assault Division of the Russian Airborne Forces committed a series of war crimes against civilians. These civilians did not participate in hostilities and had no weapons or any means of protection.
🔫 According to the investigation, a parachute infantry platoon gunner opened fire during a patrol in the streets of Bucha at two local residents who were lighting a fire to cook food. The men tried to hide in a car, but one died from two shots near the vehicle, and the other was hit by nine shots while sitting in the passenger seat.
🏫 In another case, the deputy platoon commander — a gun commander — along with other soldiers was in a school building whose basement sheltered civilians. Seeing three unarmed people in the school yard, he ordered them to run away, threatening and shooting with a traumatic pistol. One man was wounded by the occupier, and later the occupier shot a woman who was going down to the basement.
🔍 Furthermore, a sniper from the reconnaissance platoon and another soldier detained two locals in an apartment building. They stole money and a gold ring from one victim. After finding patriotic content on his phone, they tortured him, beat him with a hammer, and threatened to cut off his fingers. The other man was kicked in the head by the occupiers.
🚗 In yet another incident, a communications squad commander approached a car with a already shot driver and his wounded wife. He ordered the woman to get out and fired shots at the asphalt near her feet. Due to ricochet, she received two gunshot wounds to the shoulder.
⚖️ Investigators have charged all four Russian soldiers with violating the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional killings and cruel treatment of civilians. Additionally, police completed the pre-trial investigation against four other occupiers involved in deliberate killings of civilians while patrolling city streets, shooting unarmed residents in residential courtyards, and beating homeowners to intimidate them.
