The UK government announced a new package of military and humanitarian aid for Ukraine ahead of the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion. Prime Minister Keir Starmer emphasized that the country will continue to support Ukraine for as long as needed.

The aid package includes:
- £20 million for emergency energy support — restoring damaged infrastructure and providing additional capacity for electricity production. The UK’s total support for Ukraine’s energy sector since the start of the war has exceeded £490 million.
- £5.7 million in humanitarian aid for frontline communities affected by airstrikes and internal displacement. The UK was the largest donor to the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund in 2025.
- Medical consulting — teams of British military surgeons, nurses, and physiotherapists will advise Ukrainian medics during combat operations, helping to treat injured service members and civilians.
- Helicopter pilot training — Ukrainian pilots are receiving training at a UK airbase to become instructors and train the next generation of Ukraine’s military pilots.
Starmer stressed that the UK stands firmly with Ukraine and will support it until a just and lasting peace is achieved. He highlighted that Ukraine’s courage protects Europe’s freedom in the face of Russian aggression.
