Ukrainian forces have, for the first time, destroyed a Russian “Spirit-030” satellite terminal, which the occupiers began using at the front as an alternative to Starlink after access to it was restricted.

This was reported by Serhiy “Flash” Beskrestnov, a specialist in military radio technologies and advisor to the Defense Minister. According to him, after losing access to Starlink, the Russian army massively supplied new terminals to the front, but existing systems have large antennas that are easily detected and destroyed.
The new “Spirit-030” terminals are more mobile, can be relocated, and are less noticeable to reconnaissance. The devices operate with a geostationary communications satellite, allowing the use of 30 cm antennas instead of 90 cm.
Pilots of the 414th Brigade of the Unmanned Systems Forces “Ptakhy Madyara” were the first to detect and destroy one of these terminals on the frontline.
