🛑 Newly elected Romanian President Nicușor Dan stated that he does not support the idea of sending Romanian troops to Ukraine, even as part of a potential peacekeeping mission. He said this in an interview with Politico.

🤝 “Operational support on Romanian territory — yes. But participation in forces maintaining peace in Ukraine — no,” Dan emphasized, pointing to the strained relations between Bucharest and moscow.
🗣️ He also criticized U.S. President Donald Trump’s approach to negotiations with putin and stressed that only Ukrainians should decide on peace matters.
💬 “I don’t believe peace will come soon, but I am glad that Europe stands united in supporting Ukraine until a just peace is achieved,” Dan concluded.
