The OSCE noted that Edebrink has already been actively working on this issue as a special rapporteur for the Parliamentary Support Group for Ukraine in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. In July, she published a detailed report titled “Abduction and Deportation of Ukrainian Children by Russia,” calling for strengthened international cooperation through the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children and the initiative of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Bring Kids Back UA.

“It is extremely important to unite efforts on international platforms, in coalitions, and assemblies to put an end to Russia’s illegal abductions. Together, we can help bring these children home,” said Karina Edebrink.
