The Kremlin has spoken out against the participation of Europe as a mediator in possible peace talks aimed at ending the war against Ukraine.

According to him, Europe allegedly cannot act as a neutral mediator because it supports Ukraine.
“Currently, Europe is a party to the conflict on Ukraine’s side. Do not forget that European weapons are directly firing at us, and this cannot be ignored. Therefore, in such a status, Europe cannot in any way claim to be a mediator,” Peskov said.
He also stated that the EU’s refusal to engage in dialogue with Russia is a “major mistake” and allegedly has led to a diplomatic deadlock in relations between the sides.
