It is expected that under this program, weapons worth up to €60 billion could be purchased for Ukraine by 2027.
European Commissioner for Brexit Maroš Šefčovič previously stated that the EU is open to broader involvement of London as part of a “reset” in relations, emphasizing the mutual benefits of such a step.
At the same time, under EU rules, British companies will only be able to participate in contracts that manufacturers from EU countries are unable to fulfill. London is seeking to expand these opportunities for its defense companies.
According to preliminary estimates, the United Kingdom’s contribution may amount to about €455 million (£390 million), although the final decision on the amount has not yet been made.
