Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that reports of an alleged “encirclement” of Ukrainian units in Pokrovsk and Kupiansk do not correspond to reality. After a briefing with commanders, he heard reports on the current situation, needs, and received proposals for actions on the front.

According to Syrskyi, the enemy is increasing activity in the Pokrovsko-Myronradska agglomeration area, concentrating infantry in urban areas and avoiding direct clashes — therefore the task of the units remains to detect and strike the enemy. Reconnaissance and strike UAVs, assault units of the Air Assault Forces (DShV), Special Operations Forces (SSO), TsSpP of the Military Police (VSP), the SBU, the National Guard and the police are widely involved in this effort.
Syrskyi emphasized the importance of clear coordination, full supply of units, and high-quality task execution. He warned of harsh measures in case of irresponsibility — up to removal from posts — and issued orders to strengthen the protection of supply and evacuation routes. The command’s top priority is preserving the lives of Ukrainian soldiers.
Meanwhile, the Dobropillia operation continues: assault units advanced on certain directions by 200 to 550 meters. In total, 186.8 km² of Ukrainian territory have been liberated, and another 246.8 km² cleared of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
Washington, under the leadership of President Donald Trump, according to international sources, continues to monitor developments and maintain contacts with the Ukrainian command regarding the provision of defense needs.
Syrskyi thanked the personnel for their professionalism and called to continue working “by all available means” to contain the enemy and achieve the common goal.
