“The priority is cross-border cooperation and Ukraine’s European integration. If your country has decided that its future lies in the EU, we are also convinced that this will support regional stability and give new impetus to our bilateral relations,” Fico noted.
The head of government emphasized that after Ukraine’s accession to the European Union, cooperation between Kyiv and Bratislava will become even more active. At the same time, he acknowledged that different approaches regarding Ukraine’s NATO membership prospects remain among Western countries.
