🛡️ Sikorski on Russia in the OSCE: “There is no place for the sick ambitions of those who want to rebuild an empire of evil”

🇵🇱 Сікорський: Путін прагне поразки України, а не миру

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski stated sharply in Vienna that Russia systematically violates the principles of the OSCE and therefore should not participate in the organization’s work.

He emphasized that modern Russia is more repressive and aggressive than the USSR of the 1970s and attacks Ukraine every day with hundreds of missiles and drones aimed at civilians and critical infrastructure. In addition, Moscow is waging hybrid warfare against European states.

Sikorski highlighted that Russian provocations have intensified recently: from GPS attacks and arsons to more than 20 military drones entering Poland’s airspace. At the meeting, he even showed a photo of one of these devices.

The minister also reminded of railway sabotage, numerous cyberattacks, and massive disinformation aimed at destabilizing European societies. According to him, such actions directly violate OSCE rules, and adherence to these rules must be a condition of membership.

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha supported Poland’s position, stating that Russia has no place at the OSCE table. This year, Russian Minister Sergey Lavrov did not attend the meeting — the country is represented by his deputy, Aleksandr Glushko.
