According to him, the NATO summit in Washington confirmed Ukraine’s “irreversible path to the Alliance,” however, real political decisions are being held back by several countries, including Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, and the United States.
Rutte noted that despite this, NATO is actively studying Ukraine’s experience in warfare, especially in countering drones, and plans to integrate these developments into its own defense strategies.
He also highlighted the international activity of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, particularly his contacts with Middle Eastern countries to exchange experience in protection against drone threats.
