Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi said that the Russians are increasing pressure on the Pokrovsk direction in Donetsk region.

According to Syrskyi, the occupiers continue attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses, pulling reserves to the front.
The operational situation along the line of contact remains difficult. The enemy has concentrated its main efforts on the Pokrovsk and Ocheretyne directions. Over the past week, about 400 combat engagements were recorded there.
The Russian army continues to use infiltration tactics with small infantry groups to advance deeper. Syrskyi emphasized that timely detection of enemy infantry, their containment and destruction require constant battlefield monitoring, clear coordination between units, and flexible tactical decisions.
“Special attention is paid to strengthening unmanned systems units — primarily the use of strike drones to hit the occupiers, as well as the development of logistics involving robotic systems. The war is changing — we are changing our approaches to waging it. Scaling modern technologies directly affects the effectiveness of combat operations and allows us to save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers,” the Commander-in-Chief explained.
