Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov has threatened the United States with “serious consequences” if it transfers Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine, according to the Russian outlet RBC.

Ryabkov urged Washington to approach this issue “soberly and responsibly,” warning that any decision to transfer such systems could lead to dangerous escalation.
“The hypothetical use of such systems would only be possible with the direct involvement of American personnel. I hope those pushing Washington toward such a decision fully understand the depth and gravity of the consequences,” Ryabkov stated.
The threats came amid growing U.S. support for Ukraine, as President Donald Trump’s administration is considering options to expand military assistance to Kyiv, including the supply of long-range systems.
Washington has not officially commented on the Russian diplomat’s statement, but the White House has repeatedly emphasized that all deliveries are defensive in nature and aimed at protecting Ukraine from aggression.
