Russian troops are using the territory of neighboring countries, including Belarus, for the flight of strike drones during attacks on Ukraine, Yuriy Ihnat, Head of Communications of the Ukrainian Air Force, reported on the national telemarathon.

According to him, Russian drones not only fly over Ukraine but also use routes through Moldova, the unrecognized Transnistria, Romania, and Belarus. “The enemy bypasses potential strike zones to use its drones more effectively,” Ihnat noted.
He added that special technical means, including relays for drone control, may be used on Belarusian territory. Ukrainian forces have repeatedly recorded UAV flights along the border with Belarus toward the western regions.
Ihnat clarified that exact data on drone control points are not publicly available, but the relevant information is likely held by Ukrainian intelligence.
