According to MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak, the changes envisage a full reboot of the agency, similar to the reform of the Bureau of Economic Security.
“This will be included in the Ukraine Facility package for the 3rd–4th quarter of 2026,” he said.
Sources in the Cabinet of Ministers and diplomatic circles confirm that the updated structure of the SBI is expected to be integrated into the broader reform plan required for stable EU financing.
“Reforms and the reboot of the SBI (similar to the BES model) will be a mandatory condition for EU funding,” the MP emphasized.
The Ukraine Facility program provides for the phased implementation of obligations over several years. Fulfilment of these conditions will allow Ukraine to receive significant financial resources to support the economy and national recovery.
