🇪🇺 Poroshenko hailed the European Parliament’s decision to approve the mechanism providing Ukraine with €90 billion in credit support for 2026–2027, aimed at covering defense and budgetary needs.
He thanked friends in the European Parliament and highlighted the leadership role of the European People’s Party in securing key decisions for Ukraine. Poroshenko stressed that every “military” euro from €60 billion should strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine and strategic resilience, not line the pockets of corrupt officials. Similarly, every “budget” euro from €30 billion should support Ukrainian businesses, infrastructure, and economic recovery, rather than fund populist electoral projects.
Poroshenko also called for accelerated implementation of clear conditions and reforms, including strengthening democratic governance, the rule of law, and anti-corruption measures. As a patriotic, democratic, pro-European opposition, he pledged to closely monitor both compliance with European criteria and the effective use of aid from Ukraine’s friends and allies.
