The Polish foreign ministry emphasized that any strikes on Poland’s diplomatic missions will be treated as intentional actions.

The statement was published on May 25 amid Russian threats of new attacks on Kyiv and calls for foreign diplomats to evacuate.

The Polish MFA noted that Russia publicly claims to limit its strikes to military targets; therefore, any damage to civilian objects or diplomatic facilities should be regarded as deliberate hostile actions.

“Each case of an attack on Polish diplomatic missions will be considered targeted and intentional,” the statement said.

Warsaw also called on Russia to immediately stop its aggression against Ukraine and comply with international obligations.

The Polish MFA stressed that Russia’s actions carry serious international legal consequences and undermine its role as a permanent member of the UN Security Council.
