🕊️ He emphasized that the main priority is the fastest possible end to the war and ensuring a just and sustainable peace for Ukraine.
🛡️ Poroshenko outlined a five-point Western strategy to strengthen Ukraine’s position in negotiations:
- Military aid – continuing the supply of equipment, including air defense systems, drones, electronic warfare, artillery shells, long-range missiles, and fighter jets.
- Investment in the defense industry – development of advanced technologies and joint production in Ukraine.
- Strengthening sanctions against Russia – bans on raw materials, fossil fuels, LNG, shadow fleets, nuclear energy, and the confiscation of frozen Russian assets.
- Financial assistance – to ensure macroeconomic stability, particularly through frozen Russian assets.
- NATO membership – for Ukraine, this is the only long-term security guarantee that should be achieved even after a peace agreement.
🌍 Poroshenko also supported the EU’s comprehensive defense strategy, presented by Ursula von der Leyen, and stressed the importance of a shared European vision of a just and lasting peace.
🤝 He emphasized that Ukraine and the EU must be present at all negotiations, adhering to the principle “nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine” and “nothing about Europe without Europe.”
