Future Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar has expressed expectations that Viktor Orbán may lift his veto on the EU loan for Ukraine worth €90 billion after Russian oil supplies via the “Druzhba” pipeline are restored. Bloomberg reports this.

Magyar said in an interview with Hungarian state television that he expects the loan to be unblocked after repairs and the resumption of operations of the “Druzhba” oil pipeline.
Following his election victory, the future head of government stated that Budapest would not obstruct EU assistance to Ukraine. At the same time, he stressed that Hungary would continue to refuse participation in the €90 billion loan.
