The informal leader of the French far-right, Marine Le Pen, expressed support for Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s decision to block the EU’s €90 billion loan to Ukraine.

According to her, France can no longer fund Ukraine’s military efforts due to a high budget deficit and debt. Le Pen emphasized that the country must “be prudent” and “save money for French citizens.”
She added that it is a “great honor” for her to support Orbán and expressed a desire not to wait for other countries to make the “right decisions.” During her trip to Budapest, she met with the group “Patriots for Europe,” which includes her party, the National Rally, and the Hungarian Fidesz party.
