🛠️ The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) has announced a grant competition for land demining in Ukraine’s frontline regions to reduce risks for the population.

💶 The total program budget is 6 million euros, with the maximum funding amount for a single project not exceeding 1.8 million euros.
📍 The Kharkiv region is a priority for the implementation of the initiative, as 55 out of 56 communities have been affected by combat actions and are contaminated with explosive hazards.
📢 The projects must include both non-technical and technical land surveys, as well as awareness campaigns to inform the population about mine threats. The implementation of the initiatives should not exceed 15 months.
📝 The deadline for submitting applications to participate in the competition is May 11, 2025. This is the first time a foreign partner has allocated funds directly for demining, involving Ukrainian organizations engaged in mine clearance activities.
